ZRA investing in Tech

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) said it is investing in technology in order to modernize tax administration and seal all tax loopholes.

ZRA Acting Corporate Communications Manager Oliver Nzala said this is to ensure that there is an aggressive tax compliance strategy.

Speaking during the launch of the Customs Enforcement Cobham Mobile Antenna system in Ndola today, Mr Nzala said smuggling and VAT fraud are among the key tax evasion schemes the authority is determined to combat.

He said the Authority has also enhanced its tax education activities to create awareness among Zambians with a special emphasis on the informal sector. ZNBC
