Lusaka Business Expo through the PUSH Women Network has announced that it will provide Five Hundred Thousand Kwacha Stock Grants to women led businesses this year. 

The Expo is scheduled to run from 5th to 7th May, 2022, under the theme ‘Adopting New Technologies for Climate Responsive Businesses, Trade and Investment’.

Lusaka Business Expo Head of Business and Chief Strategist Derick Nyambe has since urged interested parties to look out for information regarding Stock Grants and the Lusaka Business Expo in general on the website, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Mr Nyambe siad that the Lusaka Business Expo will be one way of creating a hub for trade and investment in Zambia in order to create employment opportunities for the youths.

He said the Expo has secured 60% of the targeted business partners with two months remaining to the actual event.

Mr Nyambe also said that FNB has come on board as a Platinum Sponsor at an event that will attract 400 companies.

The Lusaka Business Expo Head of Business and Strategy said other sponsors include ZANACO, INFRATEL, Babacom, Yellow Card, Professional Insurance, Clover Zambia, Premier Credit, Be Compliant and Afrizim Bank.

“The Expo which is a private sector led initiative has attracted support from the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Green Economy and the Ministry of Science and Technology,” Mr. Nyambe explained.

He is confident that the Lusaka Business Expo is set to be the largest meeting place and market connect in Southern Africa and Africa as a whole.

“We have projected that over eight neighboring countries are expected to exhibit at the Expo with participation from countries from Asia, Middle East, East Africa and Europe,” he said.

He stated that the Lusaka Business Expo will provide a forum for market connect thereby providing an opportunity for both local and international companies to interact.

“We can reveal that a number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are going to be sponsored for them to participate and be able to exhibit at the Expo,” he said.

He said high number of prominent Government officials and parastatals will participate in discussions at the business forum.
