Chililabombwe Municipal Council has re-opened a Chinese shop that was shut down for flouting compliance obligations.
The newly constructed Zam CC shopping mail was shut down by the local authority for lack of proper ventilation and operating without occupation certificate.
Chililabombwe Council Assistant Public Relations Manager Chilufya Chungu has told The Independent Observer that the shop has been reopened.
Ms Chungu said the reopening follows health inspectors carried out on the August 24, which revealed that most of the defects were worked on.
She said the Shopping Mall has been re-opened after the proprietors had worked on 90 per cent of the defects.
Ms Chungu the proprietor has been given a partial occupation certificate and three month to complete the remaining 10 per cent, failure to which the premises will be re-closed.
