President Hakainde Hichilema says his administration will soon announce the first recovered set of plundered national assets by the previous administration.
President Hichilema also warned that his government will not allow anybody regardless of political affiliation to short circuit its drive to develop the country’s economy.
President Hichilema said people with intentions to disturb his administration’s agenda to develop Zambia by resorting to corruption will face the law.
He also counseled his party members not to seek appointment to public office to enrich personal growth.
He revealed that 20 UPND officials have so far sought him to appoint them to head the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) but wondered whether their interests is to serve Zambians.
President Hichilema was speaking in Lusaka during the Remembrance Ceremony of the late UPND Founder Anderson Mazoka.
And Father Cornelius Hankmoone of Saint Kizito Formation House called on President Hichilema to continue embracing servant hood in his leadership.
