 Police warns against fake recruitment

By Staff Writer
The Zambia Police Service has warned the general public not to fall prey to the fake recruitment adverts being circulated in some sections of the media.

Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the advert is indicating that the Zambia Police Service is conducting recruitment such as the one under the name of “Zambia Commission of recruitment” at Provincial Headquarters countrywide for the year 2022 and many others.

Mr Hamoonga said that the police are not recruiting and if there was recruitment the normal channels of communicating to the general public of placing adverts in the print media, radio and Television will be done.

“We would like to categorically state that the Zambia police Service is a government institution that conducts recruitments free of charge. At no stage of the recruitment does the police service request for payment of monies through mobile money,” he said.

Mr Hammonga has warned individuals who are in the habit of swindling people of their hard earned money by using false information that their days are numbered as police will not rest until they are arrested and prosecuted for their criminal activities in accordance with the provisions of the Laws of Zambia.
