Police in Kitwe have launched a manhunt for an 18 year old man who defiled his 13 year old girlfriend after hosting her for 4 days.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Elias Chushi said the mother of the girl reported to the police that she had gone missing.

“Police in Kitwe received a report of Defilement in which a girl aged 13 of the same address was defiled by Innocent other names not known aged 18 of unmarked House Number in Musonda Compound Kitwe, the girl was at a party, which ended around 17:30 hours and as she was heading home she was approached by a male person named Innocent, other names are not known, innocent proposed love to her and took her to his one roomed house where she spent 4 days with him,” he said.

Mr Chushi said that the girl left home for a party on July, 25, 2021 around 15:00 hours which was held at her friend’s house in Musonda Compound in Kitwe.

Mr Chushi said her parents were looking for her and managed to find her loitering within Musonda Compound, on July, 28, 2021.

He said the girl informed her parents that she had been with Innocent and had sex with him in his one roomed house during the whole period.

Mr Chushi said medical report was issued to the victim and was escorted to Kitwe Teaching Hospital by female police officer.
