The Patriotic Front (PF) leadership in Central Province has condemned the reported violence against protesting Council workers yesterday by suspected Party cadres.

Central Province PF Chairperson Remember Mutale said the party membership had been instructed by President Edgar Lungu to uphold civility in politics and never to perpetrate any violence whatsoever.

Mr Mutale said as a result of reported violence, the party leadership in the Province was carrying out investigations into the matter.

“The Party in the Province wishes to assure the general public that it will cooperate with the Police in bringing perpetrators to book,” he said
