 Parliamentarians urged to set aside partisan politics

Government Chief Whip, Stephen Chungu has urged Parliamentarians to set aside partisan politics as Parliament resumes sitting on Tuesday, 12th June, 2018.

Mr Chungu says Parliamentarians should focus on their core business, which is to legislate and represent interests of their electorate.

The Government Chief Whip said the next Parliamentary session will run up to or before 17th July, 2018 and consider about 24 reports from the Committees.

Mr Chungu also says two bills are expected to be tabled before Parliament and these are the Anti-Terrorism and Anti-Proliferation Bill and the Information and Communication Technology Association Bill.

He also says 4 hundred and 20 oral questions are ready to be presented to the floor.

The second session of the 12th National Assembly adjourned sine die on 29th March, 2018.
