Former Chipolopolo Coach Wedson Nyirenda is confident that the Chipolopolo boys will qualify to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Nyirenda says there is no excuse for the team not to be top of group ‘B looking at the caliber of their opponents.
The Chipolopolo battle Mauritania, Tunisia and Equatorial guinea in group B of the 2022 edition after failing to qualify to the 2018 showpiece that was held in Russia.
And Nyirenda who Coached the team in 2018 said despite the group being easy, a lot needs to be done in order to qualify and has picked out critical areas like the defense as one area that needs urgent attention .
Nyirenda said in order to cement their fate in group B the team needs to win it’s opening fixtures against Mauritania and Tunisia.
Zambia will tomorrow take on Mauritania at the Olympic Stadium with kickoff billed for 18:00 hours central African time.
