Nkwazi on Wednesday secured their Super Division status for next season after edging Buildcon 2-1 at home.
A goal in either half by Stephen Mutama and Eric Chomba ensured victory for Police outfit.
Mutama and Chomba netted on six and 55 minutes in between Brian Mwila’s equalizer from the spot on 33 minutes.
The win pushed Nkwazi to 44 points, six clear of the relegation zone.
Coach Dennis Makinka said his charges prepared well for the game.
Makinka said getting maximum points away is a bonus for the team and are looking forward to win the remaining games so that they finish with 50 points.
“We prepared very well, our plan was to come and get at least a draw. I told my boys that a win is a bonus. I feel happy for the boys, they worked hard,” he said.
He said the team will now focus on finishing in top four.
Nkwazi will face relegation threatened Napsa stars on Sunday St Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka.
