Bupalo Ward Ward Councillor Nelius Mumba has handed over the market shelter to marketeers in Luano B.

The marketeers were trading in unpleasant conditions.

Their ward Councillor used personal money to build a shelter.

Mr Mumba later empowered the marketeers at the same market with K2, 000 as revolving fund so that they can be ordering merchandise.

The money was given as an incentive for marketeers to trade in designated places.

He advised shop owners at the market to lease them out to others with capacity for the place to be lively and active.

And one of the marketeers Mary Moyo thanked Mr Mumba for the gesture.

Ms Moyo said during rainy and seasons, it was difficult to trade thereby making the lives of marketeers difficult.
