The man of Namwala has survived lightning attack without injuries while his friend who he was with was struck dead.

Police Deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale said Coyd Micheelo who was in the company of his friend Royd Sibeenzu survived lightning attack with no injuries.

He said Mr Sibeenzu 40, was struck by lightning and died on the spot when he was on the on the way home from the field.

Mr Sibeenzu of Mwela village in Namwala died on November 25, 2020 around 14 hours at Chidakwa village in Namwala.

“The body of Mr Sibeenzu is in Macha Mission Hospital Mortuary awaiting burial,” he said.
