 Kapata warns against inciting violence in Kitwe’s black maintains

The United Party for National Development (UPND) alliance Youth leadership on the Copperbelt has warned some unscrupulous people who are inciting small scale miners in Kitwe to protest over the mine dumpsite operations which have been suspended.

Copperbelt Provincial Youth Chairman Bowas Kapata says the youth leaders are on ground investigating the matter and will not allow anyone to go against the government’s decision of suspending the operations in dumpsites with intentions of bringing sanity at the dumpsites.

Mr Kapata said that will not tolerate the behavior of caderism at dumpsite operations and has since urged the small scale miners to wait patiently for government to put certain things in place before operations commences.

“ It come to my attention that some youths are inciting violence over the black maintain especially people from Busakile, we as the New Dawn Government are not going to rush because we want things to be done in a right way so that everyone benefits,” he said.

And UPND Chairman in charge of politics Kangwa Kamando said the new dawn government will ensure that all youths benefit from the mine dumpsites regardless of their political affiliations.

Meanwhile, Mr Kamado has urged the small scale miners Association on the Copperbelt to work with the local leadership before seeking audience with the president.
