President Hakainde Hichilema has refused holding a meeting and giving immunity to former Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) liquidator Milingo Lungu.

Mr Hichilema said that they has never been a deal with the liquidator that he is aware of.

Mr Hichilema said why they should give someone immunity if he is Innocent the Zambian courts are competent to expedite the law.

He said that if someone gave the former liquidator immunity then it was illegally done and those who did that are on they own.

“We didn’t want Milingo in KCM as he was standing in the solution for KCM and we wanted him out of KCM because we didn’t need a liquidator in the first place we needed a commercial solution not a liquidator we made this clear even when we were in opposition,” he said.

He said no one has a legal mandate to give immunity to anyone, anything done in those lines is illegal.
