Rainbow Party says the party is disappointed with President Hichilema’s silence on the restoration of meal allowance to students which he promised them once he assumes office.

Rainbow Party National Spokesperson Humphrey Kabwe said it is over a month since he assumed office and nothing is happening.

Mr Kabwe said while in opposition President Hichilema told the students that once he assume office, he will sell the presidential jet and use the money to restore meal allowances and refund all those who got the loans.

He said rainbow party is challenging President Hichilema to tell the nation why he has failed to fulfill this promise.

Mr Kabwe said Rainbow party believes that leadership is about being honest and truthful at all times.

He has urged the students countrywide to continue putting pressure on president Hichilema till he fulfills the promise of giving back the meal allowances.
