The Catholic Priest Laston Lupupa who was seen in a video saying that the 2021 general elections should be rigged has apologized to the Nation for his words.

In a recent video that has drawn widespread condemnation from the Church academia and the general public, Fr Lupupa is heard telling a church gathering that “it is better to rig elections (August 12, 2021) than to allow someone (HH) to form government”.

Fr Lupupa said that those words were not supposed to come out from him especially the Catholic Church.

He said he was given permission by the church leadership to apologize to those who were hurt by his words as he is a peace loving Zambian.

Fr Lupupa apologized to the Zambian people and the church at large.
