South Africa Government has assured that foreign nationals and travellers are safe.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba says assurances have been given that foreign nationals living in South Africa are safe.
Mr Mwamba has also stated those that intend to travel to South Africa should proceed and travel as the xenophobic attacks that occurred in the informal settlement of Springfield in Durban have not spread to the entire Durban or anywhere else in the country.
He said African Diplomats are scheduled to hold a second meeting with South African authorities to continue to engage on monitoring any xenophobic threats.
