Golden Party of Zambia (GPZ9 Secretary General Steven Mwale says the news circulating on social media on the firing of Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) President Brian Sampa is received with shock.

“As Golden Party of Zambia we are saddened by this development if this is true because it is a wrong decision made right here. It is undemocratic, unprofessional and an act of intimidation to professionals. Further, it is a demonstration of lack of care, accommodation of divergent views, not allowing freedom of expression, the spirit of negotiation and simply unprogressive,” he said.

Dr Mwale said the Country should be calling for strengthening of the health sector after many disturbing happenings in the last 1 year in the sector.

He said quality human Resource Management is critical among other things like availability of drugs, equipment, working environment, patient to doctor ratio that is not fatiguing.
