DRC has export opportunities for Zambia-HH

President Hakainde Hichilema says that talks of smuggling should come to an end between Zambia and DRC because there are export opportunities in that Country.

Mr Hichilema said that the trade between the two countries should be formalized as this will benefit both countries.

He said the market should be open to everyone who wants to do business at the boarder so that the economy can be boosted as well.

Mr Hichilema said that they should be nothing like smuggling but Zambia will take Congo as our customer.

President HH has also warned UPND leaders to refrain from agitating party youths to take over the running of markets and Bus stations.

He said this when he addressed a Press Conference at State House yesterday, Mr Hichilema said the councils should take charge of revenue collection and policing of the public places.

Mr Hichilema advised UPND youths to stay away from markets and be patient as he works on creating jobs for them.

He said his administration is working hard to turn around the economy to create jobs for the masses and uphold his campaign promises.

Meanwhile President Hichilema said his meeting with US Vice President Kamala Harris was fruitful with a lot of commitment made towards enhancing ties between the two countries.

Mr Hichilema also said the Auditor General’s Report will now be handed over to the Prosecutions Authority for people found pilfering public funds to be dealt with.

The President said he wants to make stealing of public funds uncomfortable and will deal with all those found wanting.

He warned those who want jobs in government with the view of getting rich to search their souls as this will not happen.
