Defending champions Zesco United have been handed a seemingly fair ABSA Cup quarter-finals draw against National League side and competition debutants Kansanshi Dynamos.

Zesco have won the ABSA Cup formerly called Barclays Cup a record six-times.

The ABSA Cup quarterfinals will be held on March 13 and 14 at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka while the semifinals will be played on April 17 and 18 at Kitwe’s Arthur Davies Stadium.

Zanaco will face Kabwe Warriors in the quarterfinals with Konkola Blades tackling Forest Rangers and Lusaka Dynamos have been paired against Prison Leopards.

This year’s ABSA Cup competition is worth K3.8 million with the champions walking away with K600,000.

Meanwhile, Sports Minister Emmanuel Mulenga, FAZ boss Andrew Kamanga and ABSA Bank Managing Director Mizinga Melu were some notable faces seen during the competition launch and conducting of draws held in Lusaka on Thursday morning.
