Star striker Alex Ng’onga scored his goal number five for Nkana in their 2-1 away win over Red Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on Africa Freedom Day.

Kalampa came from a goal down as Ng’onga sealed the win three minutes away from full time.

Arrows led in the 65th minute with a goal from Alidor Ali Kayembe but Nkana striker Freddy Tshimenga pushed in the equaliser two minutes later.

Ng’onga, who recently joined Nkana from Power Dynamos, made sure he was the match winner when scoring the crucial goal from close range in the 87th minute.

Meanwhile, Nkana jumps one place up to number fifteen on the FAZ Super Division table as they continue with their survival battle.

Armed with a game in hand, Nkana are on 37 points after playing 30 matches.

Vanquished Arrows drop one place down to fourth position as they remain stuck on 46 points after playing 31 matches.
