Star striker Alex “Bazo” Ng’onga has propelled Nkana to a famous 1-0 win over Zesco United in the midweek FAZ Super Division match played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Ng’onga scored a 20th minute header as Kalampa recorded a second straight win in their quest to survive relegation.

This was the striker’s third goal in a space of eight days in three matches.

After this win, Nkana stayed second from the bottom of the table but have moved to 28 points after playing 26 matches.

Nkana have eight matches before the season ends.

Meanwhile, league leaders Zesco remain stuck on 55 points after playing 26 matches.

This was Zesco’s first loss in 11 matches in which they managed to record ten wins in a row.
