Two GCE candidates siting for the 2022 examinations have been arrested for Unauthorized Possession of Examination Paper and Information at Milopa Secondary School of Lufyanyama district on the Copperbelt.

Daniel Machisa 19 and John Mushitu 22 are both external candidates for the 2022 Examination Council of Zambia General Certificate of Education who have been found with questions and answers for the 2022 Science paper 2 Examination on their mobile phones which they entered with in the examination center.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu said the duo entered the exam room with their phones and created a WhatsApp group called ‘Choir’ where unknown persons were sending the exact questions with answers to the paper they were sitting for.

Ms Zulu said that all candidates are cautioned beforehand not to enter with their mobile phones in the exam but the two didn’t adhere to the rules.

She said this occurred on August 9, 2022 between 08.30hrs and 11.30hrs and the duo had their phones confiscated while the exam was in progress.

The duo students have been arrested and all phones confiscated and kept as exhibit.
